Job Description

An global NGO is looking for a Finance manager to overseee its finance team in Bangkok 

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts to ensure accurate and timely financial management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, including donors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for program implementation.
2. Compliance and Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and donor financial guidelines.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing any findings or recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
3. Budgeting and Grant Management:
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop project budgets and financial plans.
  • Track grant funding, ensuring proper allocation, utilization, and reporting to donors.
  • Analyze variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, providing actionable insights.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide financial training to non-finance staff to enhance understanding of financial processes.
5. Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Support leadership in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial sustainability, including cost-saving measures and new funding sources.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in financial management, with a preference for NGO or non-profit sector experience.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, donor compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
